2013 Ktm 200 Xc W Specs
- #1
The literature says it feels like a MTB with a restart button.

Only 209 lbs ... and the same ground clearance and seat height as the 250 and 300.
No XC model for 2013 though.

It's a bike that's really oriented toward riding enduros. Six hours of tough singletrack where the light weight, manageable power, plush suspension and e-start are advantages, interspersed with transfer sections where the wide ratio six speed lets the rider make time, but relax as well.
The XC bikes are more suited to 90 minute hare scrambles where the pace is faster and the closer ratio transmission and more progressive linkage suspension is mo bettah.

Get the 250xcw
You said earlier that you like to lug and chug through stuff. A 200 will do that but there's no replacement for displacement.
What KTM's have you ridden? If you're really getting down to making a decision you can take my '11 250xcw for a spin. You'll need to find a newer 200 to test ride for comparison.

As i've stated before, the 200 is more suited towards chugging than the 250. This is your bike for single track eating
Good luck finding one though. I tried to find a 2012 200 XCW before I bought my 250 Berg last year, NONE. The 250 was a good second place though!

I'll keep an open mind. I sure appreciate all your help Chris.

I haven't ridden any KTMs. I tried a 2 stroke for about 5 min back when I first learned to ride. I didn't like the ON like a "light switch" power at the time, but I'm looking for a new challenge.
I definitely need to try your 250xcw one day soon. Thanks for the offer. Any chance you'll be at Club Moto this Saturday?
